Very much in the style of Dad n Me

A very well made games, looks amazing however there are a few flaws which make it less fun to play. First off, I didn't like how you were thrown straight into the action like that, no warning, no time to even get your hands on the screen. The screen was very cluttered so it was hard to see everything, and I'm not sure if the enemies health was show anywhere - if it was I couldn't see it. Otherwise it was good, but it had a general feeling of choas which I didn't like, it was hard to tell how well you were doing, sometimes I got confused between my character and the enemy.

A solid start, but needs polishing

The fighting is hands-down some of the best actionscript sword-fighting I've ever seen, unfortunately, the rest of the game seems unfinished. On of the major problems with the gameplay is the questionable collision detection, for example, you can't get close enough to the orcs to do any major damage with your sword. Also, I felt that I moved to slowly around the game world, which made it boring. I found that both the orcs and stickman were easily built, maybe there is more difficult enemies but I didn't play that long. I must have played for about 10 minutes and it still didn't get hard.

The graphics are okay, I think you did the best you could and they certainly do their purpose. Although looking at the quality of the Orc I ask myself if you couldn't switch the stickmen for a better-looking character. Going with a LOTR theme, you could play a hobbit or man, the larger orcs now would be Urak-Hai and what is now stick man would be the Snargs.

I think you should take some time to do a better menu, it's not hard to make them look good. Add a nice sound loop, some better button graphics and some mouseover effects as well a background and most importantly, try to write things like the instructions better. Just doing simple "polishing" like that makes a really good first impression on viewers.

I really hope you take what I've said into account, this could be a really good game.

2d Res Eve

The engine is solid, however I do have some suggestions. First, much finer aiming is needed, there should be a "run" key and there should be a key to be reload. I also think that the reload time should be a little less, with a smaller clip size to compensate. The graphics aren't amazing, but they get the job done. A good game.

Fantastic

You are obviously a very skilled Actionscripter. I espiecially liked Snake and Meteor, and, of course, the British flag.

I hope you do decide to share some of your techniques in the future.

ANOTHER Nanaca crash clone?

Jeez, throwing something for a long time doesn't exactly constitute a 'genre'. All you're doing is ripping off Nanaca crash like everyone else. If you insist on being so unoriginal, at least try and improve on the original.

I have never seen or played Nanaca crash.

Very well done

Some people have said the game is a little slow but I think the pace is absolutely perfect. It makes it different from the likes of Alien Hominid and focuses the game more on thinking about what to do next, how to defeat the next enemy. I did find it a little easy but I only played on "Normal" - next time I'll try hard.

The graphics were also very good and again, unique. I didn't spot any bugs or really any bit that didn't seem well polished.

All in all a very good game.

Way too similiar

This is way to similiar to * for it to be a coincidence. This version isn't as good, the graphics are poor and it's just not as fun. But I can't believe that you have never played * - this doesn't deserve what credit it is getting.

If I could only find * and prove my point.

A bit sloppy

You should have ironed out more of the bugs and generally polished the game before you realised it. To be honest, the mass of instructions made me vote lower. If you want the default quality to be low/medium, then set it to that. And "just don't run into walls" isn't really possible. Another thing, there is no need to play it all the way through to know if it deserves a low score, if I don't like it, I'm not going to keep playing am I? It definately has potential though.

I found the graphics annoying; too bright. As far sound, I didn't listen to it so consider that 0 to be an "N/A"

Not quite

Getting people to copy and paste code is NOT a tutorial. How the hell does that "tutor" anyone?

I'm lazy?

Terrible

Although it was pretty well done, the content was frankly awful.

Keep in mind this is coming from a professional web designer.
1. You cannot code a forum in HTML
2. ALL websites are in HTML (yes, even newgrounds! :O)
3. You completely missed out the DTD, head and doctype encoding sections of a document, which are required in ALL web documents
4. BBCode, eg. [img] has nothing to do with HTML and does not belong in a HTML tutorial.

Throughtout you describe defunct and non-standard compliant tags. You make no effort to promote semantics or good web design practices, or basic accessibility guidelines.

In short, learn something about the subject before you begin trying to teach others.
